Food Assistance Resources

A significant concern for families during this national health emergency is food security. Below are food assistance resources from local school districts and foodbanks across Virginia’s Second District.

School Meal Services

To ensure students can still have access to nutritious and healthy foods during this health emergency, school districts throughout the Second District are providing grab and go meals to students. Click on the links below to learn the location and hours of your food distribution site. You can also text “Food” or “Comida” to 877-877 for more information. Families and parents in Virginia can now visit the school meal finder website to find locations near them where local school divisions are offering free school meals —both breakfast and lunch, for pick-up while school buildings are closed due to COVID-19.
