What should I do if I think I have the coronavirus?

Any veteran experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should call their VA Medical Center or MyVA311 (844-698-2311, press #3) before visiting VA medical facilities, community providers, urgent care centers, or emergency departments.

Additionally, veterans can sign into My HealtheVet to send secure messages to VA health professionals about non-urgent, non-emergency symptoms. This will allow VA clinicians to evaluate symptoms and direct patients to the appropriate provider.  Certain locations, such as the Hampton VA Medical Center, offer telehealth services. Click here to learn more. 

Managing Stress & Anxiety

The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic has increased stress and anxiety for many veterans. The Department of Veterans Affairs has tips for managing stress associated with COVID-19. Please click here for guidance to help you alleviate stress and anxiety during this trying time.

Economic Impact Payments

To track the status of your Economic Impact Payment, please click here.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and IRS announced that they are working directly with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to ensure Veterans and their beneficiaries who receive Compensation and Pension (C&P) benefit payments will receive their Economic Impact Payments automatically and without additional paperwork.

Many non-tax filing beneficiaries have already begun using the “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info” tool to provide basic personal information to receive their EIP. There will be no interruption to payments being processed using this online tool. Veterans with Internet access are encouraged to continue providing information.

For those who do not have access, or choose not to use the “Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info” tool, their EIP will be processed with no further action required from them.
