Congresswoman Elaine Luria and Governor Ralph Northam Address Community from Sentara COVID-19 Incident Center in Virginia Beach
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, Congresswoman Luria visited the Sentara COVID-19 Incident Center in Virginia Beach with Governor Ralph Northam, Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer, and Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander. After her briefing and tour, Congresswoman Luria spoke at a press conference about the federal response to the COVID-19 epidemic. This visit came shortly after she voted to pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
“Today, Governor Northam, Mayor Alexander, Mayor Dyer, and I met with the Sentara COVID-19 Incident Center to hear directly from a frontline of this epidemic in order to ensure that our local, state, and federal officials are working together to address this public health crisis,” said Congresswoman Luria. “I am monitoring this outbreak closely and my team stands ready to assist our community. We are in this together, and I urge my neighbors to heed the guidance of our health care professionals throughout this outbreak.”
