Congresswoman Luria Continues to Advocate for Coastal Virginians As She Votes to Pass NDAA

WASHINGTON, DC -- Congresswoman Elaine Luria today praised House passage of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021, keeping her promise to fight for servicemembers and military families in Hampton Roads and beyond.

The 20-year Navy veteran urges the President support this legislation to address defense spending and other fiscal issues to avoid continuing resolutions and other stopgaps that could impede future projects and negatively impact military readiness.

“This National Defense Authorization Act ensures the safety of all Americans, gives our troops the resources they need to succeed, helps military families receive well deserved benefits and support, and best positions Coastal Virginia to continue our critical role in securing America,” Congresswoman Luria said. “I am proud that my colleagues were able to reach across the aisle to get this critical bill passed in a timely manner.”
